Just the other day, or everyday? Walking out alone or in a group of friends was considered safe even a few years ago in Bangalore or any big city like Mumbai. But everyday news reports SHOCK us with heartending and Infuriating articles of sexual abuse, rape, molestation (which is a crude way of saying 'Sexual ABuse') or the most common - 'Eve Teasing' <br />What a non-sensical terminology. There is no teasing going on here: It is Sexual Harassment & assault- No Less! Bystanders, the police even and sometines the media might put the blame on the Victim!<br /><br />Give me a break! How the hell is the victim's fault???<br />The so-called law makers, upholders of the law and those who preach from high pulpits (Any Fundamentalist, Radical Political party for that matter) think that since a WOman, Girl or any person was victimized solely because of <br />1) Her dressing sense<br />2) Socializing (well that's a kick in the pants)<br />3) GOing out alone (Helloo!@# Aren't we supposed to feel Safe n Free in our own Freaking COuntry, State, City or even Neighborhood?? Come on Now<br />4) SHe led them on, Invited their attention (Preposterous! Even if someone walks down the road NAKED it is for Gentlemen, Decent Human Beings- Which India is Famous for, both in its Legends, History & Mythologies- To let the women BE! <br /><br />It is upto WOMEN to FIGHT BACK & for the Decent Men folk in their lives and Men all over who need to grow some freaking balls and Come to the Aid of anyone who needs it!!!!!<br /><br />It is only because there is a mass consensus among all that NOBODY comes to ANYONE's AID or Help, there is som much rampant RISE in Crime AGAINST Women and Girls!!!!!!!!!!<br /><br />Another factor is the absence of an effective DETERRANT!
